Lotsa Lab Sandwiches

If you've ever had the chance to be sandwiched in between two dogs, then you know what I'm talking about...ahh it's SO lovely!

Nora my foster dog has been getting back to her normal self now that she's safe and out of that smack talkin jail house (the shelter).

Here's what I've learned over this past month:

1. Kai can be naughty and teach an old dog new tricks (a.k.a. Nora) like begging for food, barking at other dogs and ghosts.

2. Nora has seriously added to her skill set in regards to toys by learning how to play tug of war with one AND another dog. Talent.

3. Since Nora is taller than Kai, he likes to initiate the bitey face game where he's got an advantage point from the top of my bed (such a cheater this guy). So much for making my bed in the morning! It's all messed up by noon. #dogMomAF

4. Kai likes to hump Nora, but Kai will not tolerate being humped by Nora. Weird, seems like humans are the same? Ha!

5. Note to self: Make sure they both don't end up in the front car seat together while driving on the highway. Kai discovered this is a perfect opportunity to give special attention to Nora (ehem...humping) so no bueño. If only I had it on video, but all I was thinking is how NOT to veer off the road! #priceless

6. I'll need to upgrade my iRobot Roomba. If you have a Labrador, then you know all about the"magical fibers of joy and love" on the floors!

7. AND...wait for it...Nora can toss a ball up by HERSELF AND CATCH it! WOW! Super skills if you ask me!

And there's so much more I see in this amazing dog, Nora. It really makes me sad to think someone dumped her in the Austin Animal Center parking lot in such poor condition. She wants to be next to you (and sometimes sit on your lap) and just be a loyal dog like she was born to be. She's a typical yellow lab who has been robbed of her "Labness," but we're brining it back one day at a time. Stay tuned for a video starring Nora the foster dog from Austin Pets Alive!
