Key West is a wrap and we had such an amazing time.

Sitting here on the beach in Ft Lauderdale and wow, so many sea turtle nests! Never remember so many when I lived here years ago, but this has become a popular place for them to lay their eggs. I believe its the Loggerheads that nest here. The city even passed an ordinance years ago to keep the lights out at night so the hatchlings can follow that moonlight into the ocean waters (something I'd like to do on a more regular basis.) 😉 I remember volunteering for the Sea Turtle Foundation on this particular issue. Happy it's working.

All packed and ready for tomorrow. We arrive just before 6pm. I think the plan is rooftop Mojitos and dinner.

We will visit Spanky Project 10am on Wednesday before we visit one of their lead volunteers, Susanna.

Cheers,

~Shelly
